Today we watched a friend’s children for a good part of the day while she packed up part of her house as her family prepares to move within the next month or so. Since I knew the girls were going to have a friend here, I decided to also do a craft, one that I have been putting off for a long time. Rachel had wanted to paint pillowcases, but I had dragged my feet about buying some to paint. Then I remembered… the thift store! I always go there first for the girls’ clothing, but why don’t I think of it for household items??
So, we painted pillowcases…
As if that was not enough fun for one day, we received a call from friends after dinner inviting us to a baseball game. So we ended the day at the minor league stadium in downtown Akron, watching the game from one of those fun “boxes” that have the sitting room and kitchenette behind them. Know what I mean? I know they have a fancy name, but I know not what it is. And if I don’t know what it is, some of you may not even know what I was talking about if I didn’t say “fun ‘boxes’ that have a sitting room and kitchenette behind them.” It is funny what a little freedom to run around will do for children – they LOVED the ball game! And I don’t think the adults watched a second of the game. It was a blast!

What fun! How nice it will be to sleep on the girls own creations. Hope you had fun playing with your friend. What a bonus to go to a minor league game even though you didn’t see much of the game. Have fun when Uncle Keith and Aunt Julie visit you.
